End user licence agreement

This agreement is between you — the person or church installing the software — and Brandon Kissinger, the publisher. Installing or using Lumina Sanctuary means you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not install the software.
1. Licence granted
The publisher grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the software for your church's or your own purposes, on as many computers as you need.
No fee is charged and no payment is due. The licence lasts until it is terminated under clause 8.
2. Ownership
The software is licensed, not sold. The publisher retains all rights in it, including copyright. This agreement gives you no ownership of the software, its name, or its design. Third-party components inside it remain the property of their own authors and are covered by their own licences, listed on the acknowledgements page.
3. What you may not do
- Sell, rent, or charge anyone for the software
- Redistribute a modified copy, or one that has been repackaged or rebranded
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent the law expressly permits regardless of this clause
- Remove or obscure any copyright or attribution notice
- Use it to display or broadcast material you do not have the right to display or broadcast
Passing the unmodified installer to another congregation, free of charge, is expressly allowed and encouraged.
4. Your content, and your rights to it
Anything you put into the software — services, songs, media, notes, recordings — stays yours. The publisher claims no rights over it and, as described in the privacy policy, never receives it.
You are responsible for holding the rights to whatever you project, stream or record. That includes song lyrics, Bible translations still in copyright, videos, images and music. Bundled hymn and scripture texts are provided for convenience and do not grant you a performance, projection or broadcast licence. Where a licence such as CCLI applies, reporting under it remains your church's duty; the software can help you keep a record, but it does not report on your behalf.
5. Updates
The software can download and install updates. Updates are covered by this agreement unless they come with terms of their own. The publisher is under no obligation to provide updates, support, or any future version.
6. No warranty
The software is provided free of charge, "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, the publisher disclaims all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
The publisher does not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will work with your particular hardware, projector, camera, audio interface or copy of PowerPoint, or that a stream will reach its destination.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the software. That includes a service disrupted, a broadcast that failed or was interrupted, a recording not made, data lost, or content shown that should not have been shown.
Because the software is supplied at no charge, the publisher's total liability under this agreement is limited to zero, save for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of clauses 6 and 7 may not apply to you. Keeping your own backups, and having a fallback plan for a Sabbath morning, remains your responsibility.
8. Termination
This licence ends automatically if you breach it. You may end it at any time by uninstalling the software. Clauses 2, 4, 6, 7 and 10 survive termination. Uninstalling does not delete the data in your user profile — remove that yourself if you want it gone.
9. No affiliation
Lumina Sanctuary is an independent work. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists or any of its organisations, nor by Microsoft, Google, YouTube, Facebook, Meta or CCLI. Product names are the trade marks of their respective owners.
10. Governing law and general
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State in which the publisher resides, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. This is the entire agreement between you and the publisher concerning the software.
